The Medevak Project is being implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and will last for one year. Its goal is to strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian hospitals located near the front line.
The project has two key components:
1. Supply of Medical Equipment
We provide modern equipment for hospitals that treat the wounded – both military and civilian. All of them are civilian medical institutions that perform new critical functions due to the war.
Due to the overload of central hospitals, some of the functions of surgery, resuscitation and intensive care have been taken over by district hospitals that require an updated material and technical base. Within the framework of the project, we have already supported 8 of the planned 10 hospitals - and we plan to expand assistance.
2. Provision of Consumables for Treatment
Some of the necessary medical materials in Ukraine are not covered by state funding, or reimbursement mechanisms have not yet been developed. This applies in particular to:
We are purchasing these supplies so that the injured can receive emergency care without unnecessary delay.
The project aims to support at least 120 patients, and in the first 6 months we have already provided assistance to 101 patients. This result shows that the need is great - and we are working to reach even more people.
