In January, we welcomed a new – the largest ever – humanitarian aid convoy from our Finnish and Swedish friends of Karavanen till Ukraina.
The convoy was met by volunteers from the E+ Initiative together with Ukrainian military representatives. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our Finnish and Swedish partners and donors, 22 vehicles were delivered to Ukraine – vehicles that are already supporting operations on the Eastern Front.
The vehicles did not arrive empty. Along with them came protective nets against enemy drones, around 80 portable power stations, medical equipment, supplies for schools, and many other critically needed items.
This is how our friends from Karavanen till Ukraina described the meeting:
“It was deeply moving to see soldiers come one by one to express their gratitude – not only for the practical help, but also for the moral support. In truth, it is we who should be grateful. None of us, living safely in Finland or Sweden, can truly imagine what it means to be on the frontline – in the cold and darkness, while promises of continued Western support remain vague and uncertain.”
