At the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine, an agreement was signed between Initiative E+ and the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic on the implementation of a new project under the humanitarian MEDEVAC programme. For us, this isn't just a signature on a document. It's another year of concrete help for Ukrainian hospitals and for our wounded.

Special attention in the new project will be given to two areas: the development of rehabilitation medicine and the creation of an accessible environment for patients with limited mobility. These aren't secondary topics — they are precisely what determines whether a wounded person can return to a full life, to work, to family.

MEDEVAC is a Czech government programme for medical evacuation and treatment of foreign patients that has existed since 1993. Its key value lies in the fact that it provides not one-off acts of aid, but systematic, long-term support: equipment, treatment, rehabilitation. For Initiative E+, being a partner in this programme for more than 10 years is not only an honour, but also a serious responsibility. We have no right to fail the trust placed in us.
There's a lot of work ahead. And this is the kind of case where it's worth saying plainly: this signed agreement is the beginning of hundreds of stories about people who will get a chance to live, to walk, to work, and to embrace their loved ones.
Behind every point of the agreement are specific hospitals, specific doctors, specific patients. A nurse who will be able to work with modern equipment for the first time. A surgeon who will have a quality implant of the right size on hand. A wounded soldier who will complete rehabilitation and return to his family. A mother who will be able to get out of bed and hug her child.
