13 Generators for Ukraine’s Emergency Service: Support from Karavanen till Ukraina and Initiative E+

The Ukrainian NGO Initiative E+ has received a shipment of high-capacity generators from its Finnish partners Karavanen till Ukraina to support the work of Ukrainian rescue services.

A total of 13 industrial generators with capacities ranging from 133 to 175 kVA, with a total value of more than 5 million UAH, were transferred to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The equipment will be distributed among rescue units across the country.

The generators will help ensure the continuity of rescue operations during emergency response efforts, including recovery work after attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure — particularly during power outages.

Energy for Those Who Save Lives

Valentyna Varava, Chair of the Board of Initiative E+, emphasized the importance of this support:

“Today we received 13 powerful generators from Karavanen till Ukraina. This is energy that will bring warmth to many parts of Ukraine. We transferred these generators to the State Emergency Service — our heroes who coordinate assistance to people in need across the country.”

According to her, such support is especially important at a time when Ukrainian rescuers are working under extremely difficult conditions, responding daily to the consequences of attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure.

International Solidarity in Action

The delivery of generators became possible thanks to a large fundraising campaign organized by Karavanen till Ukraina together with the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland.

Karavanen till Ukraina is a Finnish volunteer initiative that brings together donors and volunteers to support Ukraine. The team raises funds, purchases critical equipment, and personally delivers humanitarian aid to Ukraine — from vehicles and generators to medical supplies.

Initiative E+ acts as a local partner in Ukraine, coordinating the distribution of this assistance to those who need it most.

Partnership That Makes a Difference

Cooperation between Initiative E+ and Finnish partners has been developing for several years. Together they have implemented numerous humanitarian initiatives supporting Ukrainian communities, medical institutions, and emergency services.

This delivery of generators is another example of how international solidarity turns into practical support for people who work on the front line of safety and rescue.

“Difficult times truly make us stronger. Dear friends, thank you for standing with us,” Valentyna Varava added.
