Initiative E+ team once again took part in a meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with representatives of charity foundations and civil society organisations working in healthcare and life-saving. This is now the fifth year in a row for us. The continuous dialogue with the Ministry of Health isn't a one-off event — it's a way of working.
Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko presented the Initiative E+ with a certificate of gratitude for its systematic contribution to supporting Ukrainian medicine. This is not only an honor, but also confirmation that the work we have been doing with our partners for years is yielding results — and it is seen at the highest level.

Viktor Liashko presented the ministry's vision for transforming the system — "Vectors of Transformation of Ukraine's Healthcare System." The core thesis: no country in Europe has ever rebuilt its healthcare system during a full-scale war, and Ukraine is walking this path first. We are moving from crisis response to managed transformation.
Several figures show the scale and the challenge:
And at the same time — real progress:
A separate block of the presentation — "Ukraine for the World: Systemic Solutions." The experience gained during the war is becoming Ukraine's contribution to the global healthcare system:
These are solutions peaceful systems simply don't have. And that's why Ukraine today is not only a country that needs support, but a country with something to teach.
A special part of the meeting was the speech of Asan Charukhov, an employee of the Ministry of Health, who is currently serving in the military and heads the 1st Separate Medical Battalion of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The day before, he was awarded the title of “National Legend of Ukraine” — a distinction of the President of Ukraine.
Asan spoke about the organization of medical care in combat conditions. About the solutions that the team develops directly on the spot, where every minute counts. Listening to such a story — and at the same time understanding that this is not an abstraction, but the daily experience of Ukrainian military doctors — is a special experience. And a special reason to continue doing your job.

Such meetings are important precisely because the charitable community is no longer “help alongside the system,” but a part of it. Over the past four and a half years of the great war, we, the Initiative E+, together with our partners Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin (Germany), have donated thousands of units of medical and rehabilitation equipment to Ukrainian hospitals, provided hundreds of patients with implants through the MEDEVAC program (Czech Republic), together with UNWLA (Union of Ukrainian Women of America) we are implementing a project to treat the wounded (osteosynthesis), and with Chernovetskiy Investment Group we are currently renovating a military hospital. And these are just a few of many other projects. Our work focus is where the state system needs strengthening right now.
And it's precisely this working dialogue with the Ministry of Health that helps us understand where the system is heading — and how our resource of vehicles, equipment, implants, and rehabilitation support can become part of the shared response to the challenges.
Thank you to the Ministry of Health team and personally to Minister Viktor Liashko for the continuous dialogue. For hearing each other. And for the work that keeps going — every day, despite everything.
We keep working together.
