New convoy from Karavanen till Ukraina: 8 vehicles and tactical medicine worth of €200,000

In June 2026, our fantastic Finnish partners from Karavanen till Ukraina delivered 8 vehicles and tactical medical equipment to Ukraine for a total of about 200 thousand Euros. The transfer took place right at the border – to drivers from the "Initiative E+" team and directly to the military.

Recently, a special meeting took place at the Ukrainian border: volunteer drivers from Finland who had just driven 1,500 kilometers, their colleagues from Ukraine and soldiers, representatives of the three combat units for which this aid was intended, gathered. Just there, at the border, without intermediaries and without too much formality, not only the handover of keys and cargo happened, but also what always happens when the Karavanen till Ukraina and "Initiative E+" teams meet: conversations about what worries us, stories about work in the rear and at the front, exchange of plans for the near future and just warm hugs.

This convoy from the reliable and hard-working Karavanen till Ukraina delivered 8 vehicles - pickups, buses and an ambulance - as well as tactical medical supplies. The total cost of the convoy is about 200,000 euros.

What exactly arrived

The majority of the cost were cars. 8 vehicles with different purposes: pickup trucks that will transport personnel and light cargo on any off-road; buses for logistics; an ambulance for evacuating the wounded. At the time of publication, about 90% of the cars have already been transferred to the units and are working.

The second large part of the convoy is tactical medicine for 70-80 thousand euros. This is not a general “medical kit”, but an order formed together with a military medic from one of the SSO regiments - a person who knows exactly what is needed at the front today:

  • CAT tourniquets - the gold standard for stopping massive bleeding on the limbs;
  • occlusive patches - to prevent pneumothorax in penetrating chest wounds;
  • hemostatic bandages - compression bandages for deep wounds, etc.

Each of these items is not “just an aid”. This is a specific tool, the availability of which in the first minutes after injury determines whether a person will survive.

Not a one-time aid, but a long-term friendship

Behind each such convoy are people who have been doing this work together for more than three years. The Swedish and Finnish drivers of Karavanen till Ukraina get behind the wheel again and again to drive these fifteen thousand kilometers — from Scandinavia to the Ukrainian border. For our part, we rush to meet them at the border. Not because it's easy or profitable. And because we all realize why we do it.

This is trust, tested by time and the most difficult tests. This knowledge of each other - in work, in logistics, in unforeseen situations, which is always enough on such routes. This is an experience that is not conveyed through press releases and official ceremonies — only through shared kilometers, shared gas station stops, and shared conversations with the military.

Why is this important?

Most of the cars in this convoy are already where they are needed the most. Tactical medicine has been distributed to military medics — and is already working where someone's life can depend on a single first-aid kit.

A convoy of 200,000 euros is a lot. But the true value of this partnership is not in the numbers. It is the fact that Karavanen till Ukraina has become not a "donor" but a partner and friend for the "E+ Initiative" in three years. That the military at the border talk to Finnish drivers as if they were their own. That the order for medicine is formed not according to the catalog, but according to the real need of the front-line doctor.

We thank our Finnish friends for their support and faith in Ukraine.

The borders are on the maps. There are none among people who are ready to help.
